Encrypting your files on your computer can be very useful in protecting them from nosy family members and hackers who have remote admin access. So I'm going to show you how to encrypt your files in a simple and easy to follow way. This is for Mac computers I will be uploading a window's tutorial soon.
Encrypting your Files
Now we are going to use Disk Utility to make create an an Encrypted disk image. Open up Disk Utility, go to the File menu>choose New> Blank Disk Image. Click AES-128 encryption and cd disk image option.
Then its going to ask you to input your passworrd. Use something fairly hard to guess but memorable.
There! Now every time someone choose the file you encrypted it prompts them for a password.
